JAX DINER ( NORTH FORT MYERS FLORIDA U.S.A. / WEAVERS CORNER )
We stopped into this local diner in corner shopping center to see what this 50's style diner/restaurant establishment had to offer in terms of BURGERS...
We asked if they had Avocado because of a possible California burger creation,
No Avocado...
"No Problem"
So then it was a possible Swiss Mushroom, Burger ??? Maybe ???
The final decision was, the
( BLUE CHEESE BURGER )
After placing the order officially I had a ( 2 ) questions before the server gave the order to the cooks.
QUESTION #1
" ARE YOU USING REAL CRUMBLED BLUE CHEESE ? "
SERVER/WAITRESS STATED:
" We use the dressing style Blue Cheese, but it has the crumbles inside of it, and it is thick "
SO.... off the order went to the cooks.
The burger arrived at the table as any order normally would in a good time-frame, and was
presented just fine with tasty fries and sided pickles, onion, and lettuce that looked good.
THE PROBLEM:
1, THE BLUE CHEESE ON THE BURGER WAS absolutely...
" disguisting "
it tasted like acidic vomit...
Now the burger itself was actually good, and were the fries, and coffee.
After eating the burger meal we asked the server/waitress
QUESTION #2
" Whats up with that BLUE CHEESE ? "
Server/waitress' answer was:
WE USE THE REAL BLUE CHEESE WITH CRUMBLES WHEN THE SEASON KICKS IN
( usually NOVEMBER-MAY )
( FLORIDA'S ON SEASON WHEN SNOW BIRDS COME BACK )
" AS for the NON-SEASON, EXPECT THAT USUAL I GUESS "
- that so..called... dressing has got to go! -
Overall The place is fine, and the staff are friendly.
2 things for certain, and 1 thing for sure,
Them burgers are good ,
BUT...
- Blue Cheese NO MORE -
